Married men and women have sex with their spouse 58 times a year, which is a little more than once a week, according to data collected from the General Social Survey.
Married people under 30 have sex about 111 times a year. And it’s estimated that about 15 percent of married couples have not had sex with their spouse in the last six months to one year, according to Denise A. Donnelly, associate professor of sociology at Georgia State University.
So why don’t we have sex more?
A lot of people just “aren’t in the mood” as much anymore. But why the heck is that?

Stress wreaks havoc on our libido and believe it or not sex actually helps relieve stress but if we’re not in the mood we can’t get the stress-relieving benefits. Find healthy ways to deal with stress. Get a massage; take a Jacuzzi, yoga class, etc. Over ways to not get as stressed in the first place. Delegate tasks, improve your time-management skills, and even talking to a therapist can make a world of difference.
#2. Problems With Your Partner
This is one of the top sex drive killers. Feeling close is a major part of desire for women. Learn to communicate better the each other by signing up for couples workshops and retreats or even seeing a couple’s counselor to establish that connection again.
