Hot Turmeric “Milk”
In Florida, we don’t have “cold snaps”. We have maybe a few weeks of cooler weather. Wha-Wha. So in order to make ourselves feel like we have seasons here, we have to adjust our food intake by eating more seasonal foods, wearing seasonal colors and maybe even fake ourselves out by turning the a/c down to where we feel a little chilly!
Here’s a delicious, nutritious and comforting hot beverage that’s far from your everyday hot chocolate!
1 can of coconut milk plus 1 can of water
1tsp high quality Turmeric
1tsp Raw honey or Maple syrup to taste
Small smudge of grated fresh ginger root or ¼tsp ginger powder
Optional- pinch of cayenne pepper
Blend all ingredients in blender till smooth
Pour into small saucepan and heat to desired temperature
Add cinnamon stick for garnish (optional)
