Easy Homemade Almond Milk
Most commercial almond and other nut milks are loaded with sketchy ingredients such as carrageenan and other additives. You can solve this problem easily by making your OWN! I used to think it looked so time consuming to make your own almond milk, but once I tried it (with an actual nut milk bag-easily found on Amazon) I realized it was super simple. All you really need is a nut milk bag and a glass pitcher to store it in. You’ll never go back to store bought almond milk again!
MAKES 3-4 CUPS
1 cup raw almonds, soaked 10-12 hours in water
4 cups filtered water
*Optional- add 3 Meejol dates, cinnamon & vanilla
In blender, blend all ingredients until smooth for about 60-90 seconds. Place/hold a cheese- cloth or nut bag over a large bowl and dump the milk into it. Squeeze to get out all of the milk. Store in a large Mason jar or glass pitcher.
